On our way to the 1001 Nights, First leg to Medina, Saudi Arabia

After entering the Middle East in Aqaba and the discovery of Petra and some swimming in the Red Sea, it is time to go deep in the Land of Sun, Sand and heat.

On our way to Dubai we have to stop enroute to refuel, the legs are slimly too long for a non stop flight especially into the busy Dubai arrival.

as you can see we are very close to all the hot stop of the Middle East.

The route itself has nothing too fancy, except the length of the runway, heat and dry air are not too friendly to the engines and take-off will need to be done with no flaps. Keep an eye on the tire rotation speed, 160KTS for the Mustang

This give us a better understanding and overview of the long long runway

Last note, on take off make sure that you keep on the runway centerline or to the right, the border with Israel is very very close....( at the airport land boundary) and as you can see all turn are to the right and there is no communication with them. I am sure there are internal airport procedures between Jordan and Israel to communicate take off time type of airplane and destination to avoid any surprises and also who is flying...
