Medina to Dubai, over a sea of sand......

After a little less of 3 hours we are on our way to Dubai,  Medina is not the best place to wait, but certainly the unique place to understand the climatic conditions of this part of the world.

Our briefing last night was complete and we are ready for the crossing of the Saudia Arabia land to the UAE and Dubai, on the Straight of Ormuz.

A east heading nearly all the way, and so much oil under neath us, but no easy way to have it added to the tanks

No wind or slightly tail wind should make this leg a breeze...wrong.

the vectoring on arrival and the different altitude changes and high speed did bring us close to our fuel reserve on landing...we still manage to shut down with 640 lbs left...but this is close to our comfort level

Get ready to speed up on the ground for our parking area...dont get lost...this is where 2 years ago I got my "King of the 180" label....to be honest this was the place of the first 180, there were more to come and some more memorable than the others....but here I got the penalty box for 5 mn...But since i did wrote down the taxing taxi instruction very carefully...I did not get the blame.....Jeppesen still has not added the P1 P2 P3 P4 etc...taxiway on their chart...and there are not easy to find in the first of signs

I like these type of charts....but they do not depict the haze...and finding the airport is not easy using only visual clues...

Keep the speed up and stay high...still 240Kts and 15000 feet rather close to the airport
