Decision time for our next leg to Malta
We have 1160 nm ahead of us using the airways.
Flying a new plane and having some weight limitation in the group...the chance of doing direct the next leg are slim...but the wind are forecast to be strong and on our tail in excess of 120 kts for at least 50% of the route...tempting....
But I am a firm believer not to chance "Murphy" and i made the decision on behalf of the group to stop enroute to refuel.
The obvious choice was Ibiza.
This gave a nice pattern on the SpiderTracks since we went there twice and each time we had to use the runway opposite our direction of flight.

A nice group photo before departure
While we have 3 Mustang on the Journey, we also had 3 TBM in Marrakech
My captain in full dress uniform.
the beauty of the G1000, it really make flying a lot easier
La Vedra in Ibiza, during our approach
Formentera
The Marrakech souks....
We had a very interesting visit of the souks.
Every minute there is something different.
The first attraction were the "Storks" nesting or flying high above the city...I have to confess I did not see any baby deliveries.
Louis-Alain and Anne-Marie Dumont did join up with us in Granada flying a TBM N700KV. their RTW will take them back to France after a stop in Oshksoh for Air Venture.
The Koutoubia Mosque
Our entrance to the souk
A visit of of the souk of Marrakech ends in Djeema Square and the vendors.
i did not escape the snakes this time and I am not a very happy camper on this one..it is been shown on the face
But i am not the only one
Marrakech, a beautiful, warm stop starting with The Majorelle gardens
Our taste of Africa in Marrakech is very nice.
We are staying at "La Mamounia", the Grande Dame of Marrakech.
A true visit of Marrakech start with a visit to the Jardin de Majorelle, embellished by Yves St Laurent

N42WZ, managed to get the clearance first and was the first one out on the taxiway for the 400 nm flight to Marrakech GMMX
Our very nice looking means of transportation
KB always next to us and sharing our impatience for the fuel truck, the process nearly took 2 hours
Pleasant wait
Our route
Our route to Morocco, while it was only 400+ nm it was the longest day of our journey with a combination of fuel delay, flight plan and hold on the tarmac in GMMX
we are starting to be good at these STAR with ARC DME, while we were set up and ready...of course we got a direct to the IAF but...with guess what a HOLD...
man i have never done so many hold in these journeys,
where is Paul Sanchez and his magic trick to set up these
